The Workshops
In over twenty five years of academic teaching of Cultural Anthropology and the World's Religions, I have come to realize that there is great wisdom to be gleaned from the study of the world's great cornucopia of cultures and religions from indigenous tribal people of past and contemporary ages, to historical societies living in villages, cities, nation-states, and now, the world-at-large.
From my vantage point as an anthropologist who has worked in the "field," a scholar of religious texts, a crafter of books, and a seeker of spiritual wisdom, I have found some interesting approaches to wisdom. Wisdom is not something to be studied, nor is it something you can acquire. It is a vast field of living energy that we can approach from many angles. Once in the field, we find that wisdom is contagious, is something that seeps inside and lives in us. These workshops represent some of the approaches I have found fruitful.
