This 5 x 7 inch, 96-page book is a good representative selection of the major teachings of Confucius, adapted from the classic James Legge translations of The Analects, The Great Learning, and The Doctrine of the Mean by Peg Streep. The illustrations by Claudia Karabaic Sargent covering every page, are magnificent. I have bound it in black and red suede from two separate jackets with the title from the original book, and an ancient book fragment. This has been among my own collection for years.
