This is my favorite translation of the 2500 year-old poem left behind by the old boy, Lao Tzu as he left the warring states of China at a mountain pass. Not only is the translation by Gia-Fu Feng lyrical, but the book is illuminated by the haunting photography of Jane English, and written in the original Chinese calligrapjy on each page facing the translation. it is 176 8 1/2 x 10 1/2 pages.
I halve cross-stitched it into pull-up leather covers trimmed with rough leather outlined in rhinestones to evoke a waterfall in the mountains.
